About
My name is Stella McCoy, and I just finished my freshman year at Tufts University. I'm currently the Combined Degree Program at Tufts, working towards a B.F.A in Studio Art and a B.S. in Biology. As an aspiring visual artist, I use 2D media to portray my understanding of the world around me through an artistic lens, combining a systematic attention to detail required of scientific investigation to guide my arts practice. I use my work to both communicate my current perception of the world but, more importantly, what I don't know. This has always been a foundational characteristic of my work; to push my views of knowledge, emotional understanding, and communal connection. As a young artist, I enjoy exploring a variety of subject matter from traditional western art to contemporary abstraction.
